Colic Is So Much Cuter On a Girl

Isn't there a saying that goes, "First baby has colic, shame on him. Second baby has colic, shame on me"? Eliza was diagnosed with colic a few weeks ago, and when I called the doctor's office to ask what was wrong with her, all I said was that she acts like it hurts to eat, especially in the evening. I never said anything about her screaming all the time or being Liam's little sister. And they still called it colic.

Now I'm wondering if it's something I'm doing wrong. I tried the Eliminate Dairy, Chocolate, and Spicy Food Diet with Liam, but it never helped him. So I won't be trying that one again, thanks. I put white noise in Eliza's room and made her a cute little heating pad for her tummy, plus I've tried massage and lifting her legs.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Untight Tights

I'm pretty sure the jokers who make newborn-sized tights and shoes have never seen an actual newborn.

Baby Girl Clothes

FINALLY I can go to websites like this without wishing Liam were a girl.

Old Man Eliza

I'm still sitting here at the computer 10 minutes later, which means Liam is still sleeping in his underwear.

But here's my new concern:

Does anyone else think my baby looks an awful lot like George from The Apprentice? This is a little creepy.

What Would You Do?

Liam has been daytime potty trained for a year, but he still sleeps in a diaper and wakes up at least 5 pounds heavier, smelling strongly of urine, in his very full diaper.

After eating a Wendy’s frosty a few minutes ago, Liam complained that he was cold and climbed in bed to get under the covers. I just walked in and found him sound asleep. On the one hand, this is really awesome because it’s hard to get him to take a nap these days. But on the other hand, he hasn’t peed all day and he’s wearing underwear.

So, do I wake him up and put a diaper on him, even though the chances of him falling back asleep are slim to none? Or do I wait for him to wake up crying because he peed all over himself?

Happy Easter...

...from the screamer, the former screamer, and the ugly Easter baskets.

Guess how often I wish I could go back in time to dig through the trash?

Last year I bought three really cute Easter baskets: one blue, one pink, and one green. I thought I would probably have three kids someday and hopefully at least one would be a girl. This way I would never have to buy another Easter basket, but they could still be all matchy someday.

This week I’ve been so excited about getting out the blue and pink baskets this Easter. But today I searched everywhere before remembering that I threw the baskets away when we moved. So now it’s almost 10:00 on the night before Easter and Ben is at Wal-Mart sending me hideous pictures like this one from his phone:
