May 24 in Utah...

Looked like this:

So we drove until we found some sunshine, and we didn't find it until we got to Colorado. But how lucky that along with the sunshine, we also found cousins!

Benefits of Marrying an Engineer

Not only will he build and install the mirror frames you were planning on making yourself, but then he'll come up with a contraption to hold them in place when it turns out that Liquid Nails actually takes a lot longer to dry than you had planned.

Projet du Jour

I don’t know the first thing about moulding, but I know I’m not a huge fan of the chair rail that cuts our living room and hallway in half.

I am, however, a giant fan of wainscoting. At least I think I am. I’m not entirely sure what that word means, but I did a google images search and liked what I saw. Then I searched for “picture frame moulding” and “faux wainscoting,” and I decided that with Ben’s help, I could pull this off.

Ben reluctantly hopped on board, and now I think that chair rail is one of the best things to have ever happened to my house.

Anybody Need Half a Package of Pull-Ups?

After 4 ½ years, Liam is finally sleeping in underwear. He went from totally soaked Pull-Ups to completely dry underwear in one night. I'm a little bugged that he hasn't had an accident, because this probably means he could have stopped wearing diapers months ago. Maybe even years ago!

One morning last week, I woke him up before he had a chance to wet his diaper. I clapped and praised him and told him I was so proud, we were going to get him a toy that very day. Not the scooter I had been promising he could have when he was finished with diapers, but a little toy. That very day!

That was all it took. And I feel like I've been played.

You Change Your Mind Like a Girl Changes Clothes

I'm talking to you, Kitchen Valance. First you were balloony and I was so proud of myself:

Now you're an awning, and I'm so much prouder:
