Goo for Dinner

Ben’s dad is visiting this week, which means I feel a little bit of pressure to make dinner every other day or so. Today I was roaming around Costco looking for ideas when I spotted a giant chicken pot pie. It looked really gourmet, with a nice lattice pie crust on top, so I bought it. Then I took it home and baked it. It looked really beautiful when I checked on it after a while, until it came sliding off the rack and onto the oven door. Now it looks like this:

And the worst part is that some of the goo got inside the world’s tiniest hole at the top of the door, so now it’s hanging out between the inner glass and outer glass, just staring at me like, “Oh yeah? What are you going to do about it?”

Okay, so I'm pretty sure Ben can take the inside of the oven door apart and get to the goo...at least that's what Dad said about the goo between my oven door layers of glass from when the tri-tip exploded six months ago. Unfortunately, it's not easy motivating guys to go after goo.

Did the goo still taste gourmet?

that is so awesome! and now you can just stop cleaning your kitchen altogether, because seriously, even when that kitchen is perfect, that little blob will always be staring at you saying "nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah!"
